Hey boys and girls!
So I just got out of Alchemy Studios here in Calgary, where I recorded two tracks, with the help of friends Patrick Southgate (drums) Tim Korthius (Keyboards and Pads) and Jeff Mueller (Bass and some guitar).
The tracks are an honest reflection of the feelings I've gone through for people in the past few years, and the emotions that kinda tag along with them. So give 'em a listen and I would love your honest feedback!
Take care guys,
Jimothy

Hey Team! Two new songs posted, "Twenty-One" and "Don't Look Back". DLB features my very good friend Joanna Wilson, who collabed with me for the vocals. Twenty-One was written as a birthday present for her.
If you guys wanna hear Jo and her band doing their own music, you can head over to www.myspace.com/fadingrebel
Give the new tracks a listen and let me know what you think! Take care guys.

You there!
Thanks for stopping by! Although I guess just cause you stop by doesn't mean that you'll actually read this.
Anyways, just a quick update to let you all know how I'm doing these days. Things are going pretty well, and it's nice to know that there's only a week and a half left of classes for me. Of course finals come after that, but I won't complain. As always, I'm making time for music, even when I shouldn't be. Jono and I got our "Moose Song" up, so we hope you all enjoy it.
Anyways, it probably won't be until exams are over that I can work on our next song, currently titled "Growing Up", just cause I really gotta study for my classes and finals and such. But yeah, I think this will be a good summer for giving you all some great new tunes to listen to. Jon recently bought a sweet new mic that is absolutly amazing, so hopefully that'll shine through in our next tracks. As always we're constantly writing down lyrics, creating riffs, progressions and so forth, as well as collaborating our ideas to make things even better.
But yeah, just wanted to give you all a heads up on how it's going. Hopefully you're all doing well. Take care everyone. Go full-out in all you do.

Hello all,
So yes, as always life is busy busy busy. It seems these days that I'm either working, or at school, or occasionally getting to sleep. I have next to no time to do music, but do you think that stops me...heck no! It just means that I gotta find ways to still record, play guitar and so forth. So it's a hard lifestyle to balance, but I'm doin' it. Anyways, we finally got a new track up ("letting go") so hopefully you'll get the chance to check it out. Well anyways, I figured that I'd better update this, so that's what I have now done. Ok everyone, take 'er easy.

Hey there guys
Thanks for stopping by. Not too much to fill you all in on, but look for a new song of mine entitled "letting go" to be on this site soon!
Other than that, it's just been school, homework, work and recording. But music is always the priority, haha.
Take care everyone,
Jimothy

Hey team,
So just a quick update here. For the past month and a half or so I've been working on two songs, and they're both coming along...I would have much more of them done, but I can't do too much until I get my new amp...which won't be for about another week. But anyways, I'm pouring everything I've got into these two songs, so I'm really hoping that they'll turn out well. Anyways, I've recently determined that the least-fun parts of making songs is coming up with the lyrics (most of the time, but not necessarly always) and creating drum maps. Since I'm not a drummer, it's hard to come up with cool sounding stuff...but I'm getting better. The best parts for sure are the mixing and mastering. So yeah, look for two songs ("One Year Later" and "An Audience of One" ) to be posted in a few weeks. Anyways, that's about it for now.
Blessings,
Jimothy

Hey team,
So it's been forever since I've given ya an update...I appologize for that, I've been working 6 days a week (yeah I got the job that I was talking about in the last post) so yeah working 50 hours a week leaves you no time to record. But the good news is that I've been sacraficing what I can to keep doing it. After over a month, I finally found the right lyrics for the song that I was telling you about in the last posting. It's for the song that was called "No Idea". Anyways, the title for that song now stands as "One year later". If you want a brief description of what it's about, you can go to my myspace page at
http://www.myspace.com/undergroundhero and it will be under "Chapter 8" which is my latest little blog thing. Anyways, the song is all about confusion and such from being hurt by a loved one...yeah I know, not the most origional topic to write a song on. But now I better understand as to why people write songs about this stuff. Anyways, once I get my new amp (Randall G2SC100) then I'll try my best to record it. I'm also still working on "Waving the Flag" as well, which again sounds super cool. I'm sure Jono has been coming up with some killer stuff as well. Anyways, I'm off. I'll leave you with the lyrics to the song. Feel free to leave comments on what you think, love it or hate it, let me know if you feel like it. Take care and Hang loose with God.

One Year Later
Fourteen years later it burned to the ground
What she saw in me is now not found
And now I知 hurt and my heart is bleeding
Can you please save me? Please keep me breathing
Extend your hands and in them I値l rest
A heart full of scars and stained with regrets
You have me now, yours for taking
Just touch my face and you値l feel me shaking
I lived to make you smile
And you kept me strong
How could something
So right go so wrong?
(Chorus)
We started with just one letter
And here we are, one year later
So much has ended
With so much beginning
Will you remember?
Will you relive this feeling?
There was so much pain we went through and shared
I won稚 give up just because you got scared
And I知 so sorry, this is not by choice
And please forgive me if I hold on to your voice
I will not quit now
But this all seems useless
Please tell me that
I値l make it through this
-Then the chorus will repeat once or twice, as the song slowly fades out-

Hello once again
Though very few people read this,(if any) I have some good stuff to fill you in on.
So school is finally out, yes it's FINALLY out...and Jono and I wasted no time yesterday playing mad amounts of guitar together and uh...doing other things, hehe. Anyways, there will be four months to come up with great stuff, and at the moment, I'm doing a cover which every person should like, along with working on a dumb random 30 or so second song currently entitled "I have A.D.D." I wrote the song after my A.D.D. took over when trying to study for an exam...hey if you can't beat 'em, join 'em eh?
So the other two works, "No Idea" (that name is still conditional) and "waving the flag" are also being worked on...oh man you guys, "waving the flag" sounds SOOO good, I'm sure you all will love it...I mean who doesn't love fast-paced, riffy, distorted guitar mixed with thundering double time drums and super fun lyrics? So it's just all a matter of time before it's up and running on the dmusic world.
So other than that, nothing too much going on...got a job interview tomrrow for possible summer employment...I really need the money, that's for sure. So I'll keep ya updated on that for the whole one or maybe,
maybe two people who look at my ramblings here.
And then the other day I uploaded two drawings I did for art class last semester, can't go wrong with drawing stuff! I'll hopefully get some pics of me put up there as well. And then the other day, I became aware that MXPX is a Christian band, yet was puzzled that no one ever filled me in on that before...and I listen to them all the time! Anyways, my buddy Adam claims to have told me, but either he's lying or I wasn't listening....probably wasn't listening

Regardless, MXPX rocks my socks off....if that's possible. But yes, they're a totally "swicked" (combination of "sweet" and "wicked") band.
Anyways, that's it for now. I'm off to go work on some musical stuff, so everyone keep givin' 'er and take lots of care.
Hang loose with God,
Jimothy
